NYFF Critics Academy, #3

Here is my third piece, focusing on Last Time I Saw Macao and Like Someone In Love, another strong effort by one of the truly brilliant directors working today.

Recent viewings include the good-but-not-great No, the difficult but stunning Leviathan, and the strong Zemeckis vehicle Flight. Outside of NYFF, I caught Silver Linings Playbook today and you can expect a review, hopefully, sometime soon. Maybe a review for The Long Goodbye too but less likely, as I’d like to see it again.

I still have a few NYFF pieces yet to be published. After that happens, you can expect more frequent, full-length reviews. I hope everyone has enjoyed the longer articles as much as the more frequent reviews, because I sure have.
